Putin’s actual flight from Moscow and move to a bunker in the Urals shows the Kremlin leadership’s disbelief in winning the war against Ukraine. Russian Defence Minister Shoigu’s initiative to move the capital from Moscow to Siberia confirms the Kremlin’s scenario of losing control over the European part of Russia.
Oleksandr Danylyuk, head of the Centre for Defence Reforms and coordinator of the interagency platform for countering hybrid threats, which operates within the framework of Ukraine-NATO cooperation, said this on his Facebook page.
“Putin has fled Moscow and is hiding in a bunker in the Urals. This is a clear signal that Putin does not believe in Russia’s prospects of winning this war and is ready to go for the destruction of his own country,” the analyst said.
“The relocation of Russia’s capital to Siberia, which Shoigu campaigned for, is further proof that the Kremlin has sold Russia to China, and allows for the option of losing control over the European part of the country,” the DER head noted.
“In this situation, Russian officers have two options – either to shoot Putin or to shoot themselves,” Alexander Danilyuk concluded.
We shall remind you that on the morning of 24 February, Russian Federation troops, following Vladimir Putin’s orders, launched a new invasion of Ukraine in several directions at once. However, the blitzkrieg failed and the AFU managed to hold back the enemy, destroying over 12,000, 374 tanks, 1,226 armoured vehicles, 140 artillery systems, 34 air defence vehicles, 62 MLRS, 60 fuel tanks, 7 UAVs, 3 ships, 74 military aircraft and 86 helicopters, 585 military vehicles since the beginning of the attack. As a result, Russian troops started bombing and shelling residential areas in order to sow panic and intimidate Ukrainians.
